Common questions
Do I need the internet to play?
No. Solo games, the Daily Challenge and playing with friends nearby all work without an internet connection.
How do I play with friends?
Everyone needs Chidiya Udd on a phone close by, all on the same version of the app. One player starts a room from Play with friends; the others tap Join a game, then scan the room's QR code or type its room code. Up to 6 players can play together, and no internet is needed.
My friend's phone can't find the room. What can I do?
Keep the phones close together with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on, and allow the nearby devices permission (on some Android versions, location) when the app asks. Check that everyone has the same version of the app from Google Play. If it still won't connect, close the app on every phone and start a new room.
Why does the app ask for my location?
On some Android versions, finding phones nearby needs the location permission. The app never reads, stores or shares your location, and you can play on your own without allowing it.
Is the Daily Challenge the same for everyone?
Yes. Everyone gets the same items each day, so you can compare scores with friends. Tap Share to send yours.
How do daily streaks work?
Finish at least one game a day, on your own, in the Daily Challenge or with friends, and your streak grows by a day. You earn a badge at 7, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, 300 and 500 days, and can see them all in Stats. Once your streak is past 10 days it survives one missed day (marked ❄), once per streak. Miss two days in a row, or a second day in the same streak, and it starts again from 1.
Where are my scores saved?
Only on your phone. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data (Settings › Apps › Chidiya Udd › Storage) deletes them for good, and we can't bring them back.
